Pelicano has landed in Potts Point, taking over the former Hugo’s space and bringing with it a fresh Mediterranean energy. Think sun-soaked terrace by day, moody restaurant by night, and DJs rolling in on weekends to lift the pace. Chef José Saulog’s menu leans Italian-coastal — flatbreads, arancini, seafood and steaks — with cocktails that are crisp, colourful and built for sharing. It’s polished but playful: you can come for dinner, stay for drinks and end up on the terrace at midnight. Locals say it’s exactly what the Cross needed — somewhere stylish but not stuffy, where good food and good music meet.
